Set to Reset

Spring is just around the corner and there’s no better way to go into a new season than with a fresh routine. Last month we focused on self-love and this month we want to encourage you to take those self-love practices and build on them.

We hear it all the time that how we start our day sets the tone for the whole day and it’s so true. The more intentional we are about our days, the better they will be and slowly but surely, these small changes can have a big impact on our lives.

Establishing a solid morning, afternoon & evening routine can allow us to feel more grounded and like we have a more of a hold on our day and lives. You may already be implementing some of these methods below, but if not or if you need some fresh ideas on how to reset your routine, this blog post is for you!

Everyone’s schedules are different so these routines may look different for everyone, but the great thing is you can take the below and apply it to what works best for you and your day. The important thing to remember is that it’s okay to start small. Baby steps are better than no steps.

  • Morning

    • Wake up to a simple skincare regime:

      • Quick cleans (w/ cool water), hydrate + protect your skin with your favorite spf for the day

    • Set to reset:

      • Incorporating intentional moments of quiet reflection to start your day (whether it’s having a cup of tea, writing in your gratitude journal, meditating for 3-5 mins), these few minutes to yourself can make a difference

    • Move your body:

      • We love “the daily move” from Calm app, which is 5 mins of intentional movement to get your juices flowing

  • Afternoon

    • Take a 5-10  walk

      • Walk Enhancement TIp: You can incorporate a walking meditation from the Calm app to give your brain a break & reset mentally. Being still with your mind is where the magic happens!

    • If you’re working from home & have access to a bath/shower, taking a quick (1-3 min) cold shower or bath will help you boost energy and help you get out of a fog.

      • Office setting: Try using an ice roller on your break(s).

    • Send a ‘hello’ text to someone that you haven’t talked to in a while to let them know you’re thinking about them & hope they’re doing well!

  • Evening

    • Meditate while you do your at-home LED Light Therapy.

    • Take a few minutes to reflect on your day (Journaling is a great way to do this. Try writing 5 things that you were grateful for that day and think about what went well). You can check out our ‘Journaling’ board on Pinterest for more prompts/ideas.

    • Indulge in a complete skincare regimen (this is where you can incorporate your exfoliators, peels, serums)

      • Cleanse

      • Exfoliate

      • Treat w/ a serum

      • Hydrate

Of course a great addition to all of the above is to remember to stay hydrated and drink your water! You can read more about the importance of hydration from our Benefits of Hydration blog post.

Remember, small steps are key here! Don’t feel like you have to add all of this into your schedule all at once. That can feel overwhelming and actually cause us to put off these small and doable changes. The important thing is to start somewhere & start small. You’ve got this!

Feel free to tag us on social media (@thetinyspa) in your ‘set to reset’ routines, we would love to see your progress and offer some encouragement!

Until next time,
